Sekonda is British distributor of wrist
watches, founded in 1966. It doesn’t own any manufacturing units. Sekonda
imports watches, give them a brand name and sell it in British market. Initialy
Sekonda was importing watches from Russia which were made in two factories,
First Moscow Watch Factory in Moscow and Petrodovorets Watch Factory in Saint
Petersburg. Those model were named Poljot and Raketa respectively. After 1993,
Sekonda broke the tie with all Russian producer and started importing products
from factories in Asia.
Long story short, even though Sekonda
imports these watches, it has maintained a quality standard and made a space in
the heart of British people. According to its official website, out of 1.6
million watches sold, less than 15 are returned. Sekonda offers vibrant designs
which people loves to wear and that’s why Sekonda is one of the top watch brand of UK. The company sells watches under various brand names so I will give brief
introduction of all.
