Festina was founded in 1902. It is a Swiss
brand and manufacturing watches now for more than 100 years. Festina has
created its own space in watch market. The motto of the company was “Festina
Lente” which is Latin for “Hasten Slowly”. In 1984, the company sold to Spanish
industrialist Miguel Rodriguez, who is the owner of Lotus Watches. Then after
Festina watches comes under Festina Lotus S.A.

“Foundation d’entreprise Festina” who fight against the doping in sports and
promote the mission. Festina is the official timekeeper of Tour de France, Tour
de Suisse and Tour de Romandie. Festina had sponsored Festina cycling team from
1989 to 2001. During the 1998 Tour de France, Festina cycling team was at the centre
of doping scandal and in reaction to that
