Asher Loftus and his wife Rebecca
founded Accurist watches in 1947 at Clerkenwell, London. At that time, the
couple felt that there was a gap in the UK watch market for a brand that
combined Swiss made quality parts with distinctive style and more important at
competitive prices. So Accurist focused on good quality watches at lower prices
and providing longer guarantees. In 1983, company moved towards Japan for
manufacturing to integrate Japanese technology and that strategic move
increased the sales by 500%. The company became the largest brand of UK in 1993
and started international market expansion. The Accurist Watch Business sold to
Times Products UK in current year 2014. Times Products also owns other brands
like Sekonda, Seksy and Limit Watches.
